Right of withdrawal.

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason. This page explains how, and lets you submit your withdrawal directly.

Your 14-day right

Under Directive 2011/83/EU (as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2673), you have 14 days from the day you (or a third party nominated by you, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods to withdraw from your contract with us, without giving any reason. If your order comprises multiple goods delivered separately, the 14 days run from the day on which you (or your nominated party) take possession of the last item.

How to withdraw

To exercise your right, inform us — Niets, Brussels, Belgium — at hello@niets.co of your decision by an unequivocal statement before the 14-day period expires. You may:

  • complete and submit the form on this page (the easiest way);
  • copy the model withdrawal form below and send it to hello@niets.co or by post; or
  • send any other clear statement of withdrawal (for example, a plain email).

It is sufficient that your communication is sent before the 14-day deadline expires.

What happens next — refunds

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of delivery (except for any supplementary costs arising from your having chosen a delivery option other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

We will use the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is earlier.

Returning the goods

You must return or hand over the goods to us, without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14 days have expired. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are liable only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Exceptions

Some categories of goods are exempt from the right of withdrawal under Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU. In our range, the following may apply — please verify with us before opening any item if you intend to withdraw:

  • sealed goods unsuitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, where the seal has been broken after delivery (this may include opened bottles);
  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example, custom labelling or engraving).

This list is for guidance only and is not legal advice.
